Why I Left Islam: An Iranian-American Speaks

George Carlin says: “Religion has actually convinced people that there’s an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever ’til the end of time! But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He’s all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can’t handle money!”

Friedrich Nietzsche says: “Faith means not wanting to know what is true.”

Isaac Asimov says:  “To surrender to ignorance and call it God has always been premature, and it remains premature today.”

Richard Dawkins says: “Religion is about turning untested belief into unshakable truth through the power of institutions and the passage of time.”

To me religion is a leash around the neck of an imbecile, whose destiny is pulled around by the rich & powerful puppeteers. The allegedly uplifting religion serves as a refuge for those whose rights, owing to poverty or powerlessness, are abused by the affluent exploiters! [DID]

“I see a lot of love in Christianity, I see a lot of anger and hate in Islam,” stated my anonymous Iranian-American interlocutor to me in his condominium building manager’s office. My interview partner related a revealing personal spiritual and geographic journey away from his boyhood Islamic faith and Iranian homeland to an adult Christian conversion in America.

The son of personally pious Muslim Iranians, “Martin” lived in Iran until 1974, when his parents sent him away at the age of 16 to England for high school. Without any coercion from his parents, his own devotion had prompted him at the age of 12 to attend Quran classes and undertake the Islamic regimen of five daily prayers. Yet Islamic law only requires that boys begin these prayers at the age of 14.

Martin ended his Quran class visits and daily prayers shortly before leaving after the ninth grade for England, where the juxtaposition of his Islamic faith and life in the West created a personal crisis. “I was living in England, all the classes are mixed, boys and girls,” he recalled. “As a Muslim I am not supposed to shake hands with women, I am not supposed to date, I am not supposed to drink, and I couldn’t do that in England.” To violate Islamic strictures in a country like the United Kingdom, “it doesn’t necessarily even have to be sex. But your normal daily life — you can’t do it.” Read more…

Video: Islam is NOT for Me (song with lyrics)

The doctrine of Islam is submission. The Qur’an orders Muslims to submit and obey. There is no choice in Islam. Where there is no choice, there is no freedom. Therefore, where there is Islam there will be no democracy.

Muslims live in social, economic, intellectual, and religious poverty. Islamic society has never been able to create a productive economy. For its first 1300 years, Islam survived on the taxes and plunder confiscated from conquered peoples. In the last 100 years it has nourished itself on oil. No oil, no Islam.

Islam has been breeding in tyranny and terror. Tyranny and terror are expensive, unable to give his followers a reason to live, Muhammad gave them a reason to fight and die, the rewards in paradise for martyrs.

Despite what you have heard, Islam is not a peaceful religion, on the contrary it is the cruelest and most inhuman religion existed, following is a small list of the punishments in Islam.

  1. Penalty (Jihad and Plunder) for Unbelievers  ( Surah  9:33; 33:25-27)
  2. Penalty (death) for Apostasy and  leaving Islam (Surah 9:11,12,14; 4:89)
  3. Penalty (death) Critic of Islam (Surah 33:57-60)
  4. Penalty (Whipping) for Unmarried sex in Islam (Surah 24:2)
  5. Penalty (Execution) for Homosexuals (Surah 7:80-84)
  6. Penalty (Cut off hands)for Theft (Surah 5:38)
  7. Islam allows Retaliation, i.e., physical eye for eye(Surah 5:45)
  8. Islam allows husbands to Hit their wives (Surah 4:34)
  9. Penalty (whipping) for drinkers and gamblers (Surah 5:90-91)

10 Reasons for Mankind to Leave Religion Behind

stairway_to_heaven

It’s been reported recently that atheism is on the rise worldwide, while religiosity is declining. The relationship between the religious and non-religious has always been a tricky one; while many from each group eventually find themselves forced to admit that there is much to learn from the other, atheists still generally have a tough time accepting the role that religion plays in society—and are of the opinion that humanity would be better off leaving it behind, for a number of reasons. Here are ten of them. Read more…

Attacking America: Al Qaeda’s Grand Strategy in Its War with the World

February 25, 2014 Leave a comment

Defining what precisely is meant by grand strategy and how al Qaeda, in particular, views grand strategy is vital for our national security. In fact, grand strategy is al-Qaedaintertwined with every policy debate over al Qaeda that is currently ongoing in Washington, D.C.

The questions of what is al Qaeda, and who is al Qaeda have been debated since 2001. More recently, questions have arisen about affiliates and what is their relationship with al Qaeda. Is there any command and control between al Qaeda and its affiliates? What is the proper way to deal with these groups? And can we actually win against them? This talk will seek to add to this debate by offering answers to the questions of what al Qaeda is and what the group hopes to achieve.

WHAT IS GRAND STRATEGY?

We must begin by defining “grand strategy” and by defending the existence of this concept.  Grand strategy is the highest level strategy that an organization or country possesses for dealing with a specific problem. Read more…

Islamerica, Eurabia and Eurasia

Obama has claimed that the United States is “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” While the actual number of Muslims is in dispute, Islamerica is no match for 173140984_3c776dbfa3Eurabia or Eurasia.

Europe has 44 million Muslims. If Turkey crawls into the European Union, that number will climb to 118 million. That’s more than double the number of Latinos in America.

If Obama decided to take in all of Syria and Somalia, just to be extra generous, his Islamerica still wouldn’t have a hope in hell of catching up to Eurabia or to the Eurasian Union.

The new evil empire in the east isn’t the USSR; it’s Eurasia, a replacement for the Warsaw Pact that turns away from the troubled economies of Eastern Europe toward the population-rich and resource-rich Muslim republics providing a growing share of Russia’s military and labor force. Read more…

Strange Bedfellows

Is the turbulent Middle East bringing Sunni and Shiite jihadis together, or driving them to war?sunnishiite169704160_0

Fifteen years ago this month, al Qaeda operatives executed two devastating, simultaneous car bomb attacks targeting the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The attacks in East Africa killed 223 people, injured more than 4,000, and brought international infamy to al Qaeda — among other repercussions, they earned Osama bin Laden a place on the FBI’s Most Wanted list.

U.S. embassies are still targets for violent extremists today — as shown by the recent closure of 19 U.S. diplomatic outposts across the Middle East in response to intercepted communications from al Qaeda leaders — but the nature of the terrorist threat has evolved over time. The relationship between al Qaeda Central and its regional franchises has changed dramatically, and the relationship between Sunni and Shiite terrorists is changing as well. Read more…

Islam’s Hatred of the Non-Muslim

July 7, 2013 Leave a comment

It is accepted as a truism by many liberals and multiculturalists and touted by much of the Western media that the “clash of civilizations” between the West and the Islamic world is a clash of999329_325325494267729_260192102_n values between a secular, tolerant, post-Christian world and a minority (albeit a large one) of Muslims, fundamentalists, and literalists who pervert the meaning of their faith-traditions. The Qur’anic verse, “There is no compulsion in religion,”[1] is frequently invoked to prove that Islam is not the intolerant, subjugating religion that Islamist clerics like Yusuf Qaradawi or terrorists like Osama bin Laden make it out to be. The belief is that “Islam,” as former president George W. Bush said not long after the 9-11 attacks, “is peace.”[2]

But what if Bush’s statement, along with the mainstream view, ignores the reality of Islam’s central tenets? Are the Islamists’ beliefs really only a warped minority position or are they a truer reflection of the inherent nature of the Muslim faith-system? Can the West ever reach a modus vivendi with an Islam that by its very nature considers Western civilization an unclean “other” that must be brought into the orbit of Islam through subjugation at best or destruction at worst? Ground Zero For The Sunni-Shia War

July 7, 2013 Leave a comment

Yet another round in the 1,200 year old war between Shia and Sunni Islam is being fought in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. This round of the ancient succession dispute (over who should rule the sunni-vs-shiaentire Islamic world) kicked off in the 1980s, when Sunni Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein saw an opportunity as the Shia clergy in Iran overthrew the monarchy. It was a messy revolution and Saddam thought he could seize several major Iranian oil fields just across the border. That land grab failed and turned into a decade of war that caused over two million casualties and put the Shia clergy firmly in control of the Iranian government (which was supposed to become a democracy after the monarchy fell). The Iranian clerics saw this as an opportunity to cut the Sunni (80 percent of Moslems are Sunni and Saudi Arabia is sort of their leader) down to size. The Saudis had long feared this and that was why they supported keeping the Sunni minority in power in Iraq. Read more…

People power rises again

“Authoritarianism in the name of Islam is dead,” messaged one Egyptian activist last Sunday, as millions gathered in the streets to denounce the rule of President Mohamed Morsi and his Egyptian protestersMuslim Brotherhood government.

What happened over the next few days combined elements of a popular uprising and a military coup. The mass protest against Morsi showed the strength of dissent. But the Egyptian army’s role in toppling Morsi Wednesday was a reminder that the danger of authoritarianism is still very much alive in the Middle East, whether it’s under religious or nationalist guise.

The United States so far has been largely irrelevant to events in Egypt. I wish the Obama administration had been doing more to back moderates in the Middle East, overall, but in Egypt, the United States deliberately played the role of mediator rather than decider. The army wanted a public American “green light” for its coup, but it didn’t get one. Read more…

From The Heart of an Honest Muslim

June 24, 2013 7 comments

“I am a Muslim by faith, a Christian by spirit, a Jew by heart, and above all I am a human being.” says Dr. Tawfik Hamid.20130622_FBP001_0

I was born a Muslim and lived all my life as a follower of Islam.

After the barbaric terrorist attacks done by the hands of my fellow Muslims everywhere on this globe, and after the too many violent acts by Islamists in many parts of the world, I feel responsible as a Muslim and as a human being to speak out and tell the truth to protect the world and Muslims as well from a coming catastrophe and war of civilizations.

I have to admit that our current Islamic teaching creates violence and hatred toward non-Muslims. We Muslims are the ones who need to change. Until now we have accepted polygamy, the beating of women by men, and killing those who convert from Islam to other religions. Read more…

Geert Wilders’ Warning

March 6, 2013 Leave a comment

I come to America with a mission.  All is not well in the old world.  There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic.  We might be in the final stages of the417492_orig Islamization of Europe.  This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself; it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West.  The danger I see looming is the scenario of America as the last man standing.  The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.  In a generation or two, the US will ask itself:  “Who lost Europe?”  Patriots from around Europe risk their lives every day to prevent precisely this scenario form becoming a reality.

My short lecture consists of 4 parts.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe.  Then, I will say a few things about Islam.  Thirdly, if you are still here, I will talk a little bit about the movie you just saw.  To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem. Read more…

Exclusive: The Koran and Hadith Go Against Human Rights

February 21, 2013 Leave a comment
The Koran, the holy book of Muslims, and Hadith (fatwas of the prophet Muhammad) contain numerous passages that are incompatible with the UN Declaration of Human Rights to which, by Quranthe way, all Muslim states have officially subscribed.
.
One might argue that the Bible and the Old Testament of both Christians and Jews also contain atrocious passages that go against human rights. (For further information, click here.) However, while Christians and Jews ignore these atrocious passages and look at them in a historical context, Muslim believers, especially radical Muslims, do not. They are convinced that both the Koran and Hadith are sacred scriptures; the word of Allah and must be followed and implemented to the letter. Suicide and car bombers are a clear case in point. Many Muslims believe that Sharia (which includes both the Koran and Hadith) must be introduced and applied all over the world as the only best law for all human beings. Read more…
